Consumer Safety

General recommendations for all products.

As with most cleaning products we recommend the following:

1.  Use only in well ventilated areas

2.  If you are easily susceptible to breathing discomfort, we recommend you consider a ventilation mask.

3.  Do not mix in a bottle or container that has held other chemicals - adverse reactions may occur.

4.  In case of direct skin contact, wash thoroughly with clean water.

5.  In case of accidental ingestion, seek medical attention.

 

Specific product safety information on:

Cleaner/Degreaser     Mildew Destroyer     Glass Cleaner

 

Cleaner/Degreaser

 Mean Green is formulated to be used full strength on difficult jobs or diluted with water for normal jobs.  If product is used full strength the following precautions should be taken if performing large jobs. 

In the event of Contact with:

Eyes (acute):  Contact causes  irritation. Avoid prolonged contact.  Immediately rinse with large amounts of water for at least 15 minutes, occasionally lifting upper and lower lids.  Obtain medical attention.

Skin (acute):   Contact can irritate the skin.  Prolonged contact can cause  skin irritation.  Remove all contaminated clothing.  Flush contaminated skin with large quantities of water.  Obtain medical attention if irritation persists.  Launder clothing before reuse.

Inhalation: Exposure to mists may cause irritation.  Move to fresh air.  If breathing is difficult, administer oxygen.  If  breathing has stopped, give artificial respiration.

Ingestion: Can cause irritation of the mouth, throat, and digestive tract.  Drink plenty of water.  Consult physician if necessary.

Skin Absorption:  Glycol ether is absorbed through the skin and over exposure may cause systemic effects such as:          headache, dizziness, and nausea. 

Medical Conditions Generally Aggravated by Exposure: Persons with impaired pulmonary function may be at increased risk  of exposure.

Mildew Destroyer

Cautions are similar to those for all mildew removal products.  As with all such products, proper ventilation is imperative.  Protective gloves and ventilation masks are recommended when product is used full strength.

In the event of contact with:

Eyes(Acute & Chronic):  Contact can cause redness, irritation and swelling.  Immediately rinse with large amounts of water for at least 15 minutes, occasionally lifting upper and lower lids.  Obtain medical  attention.

Skin(Acute & Chronic):  Contact can irritate the skin and cause swelling.   Remove contaminated clothing.  Flush contaminated skin with large quantities of water.  Obtain medical attention if irritation persists.   Launder clothing before reuse.

Inhalation(Acute & Chronic):  Exposure to mists can cause irritation.  Over exposure can cause damage the mucous membranes and the respiratory passages.  Move to fresh Air.  If breathing is difficult, administer oxygen.  If breathing has stopped, give artificial respiration.  Obtain medical attention.

Ingestion:  Can cause irritation and burns of the digestive tract.  Drink plenty of water or milk.  Obtain medical attention immediately.  Do not induce vomiting.  

Health Hazards(Chronic):  Product is not recommended for use by persons with pre-existing disorders such as heart conditions or chronic respiratory problems such as asthma, emphysema or obstructive lung   disease.

Medical Conditions Generally Aggravated by Exposure:  Persons with impaired pulmonary function may be at increase risk of exposure.

Glass Cleaner

In the event of contact with:

Eyes:  Can cause sensation  or irritation.  Flush eyes with water for 15-20 minutes.  If irritation persists, seek medical attention.

Skin:  Remove with soap and water.

Ingestion:  No symptoms observed.  If product is swallowed, drink large amounts of water or milk and seek medical attention.

Medical conditions Generally Aggravated by Exposure:  None known.
